Our Values

As a CIT School we adopt and follow all the Trust Values of:
• Honesty and Integrity
• Aspiration
• Professionalism
• Inclusivity

This is what they mean to our school:

HONESTY & INTEGRITY – Our actions are guided by our commitment to being open, honest and trustworthy in all that we do. We do the right thing – even when it’s difficult – and take responsibility for our words, decisions and impact on others.
ASPIRATION – We believe in the potential of every member of our school community and strive for excellence in all we do. We set ambitious goals, support each other to achieve them, and never stop aiming higher for our pupils, our school community and ourselves.
PROFESSIONALISM – We model the highest of standards in our conduct, communication and commitment to each other and the community we serve. We act with purpose, reflect where necessary, and work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of education and care for our children, young people and their families.
INCLUSIVITY – We create a culture and environment where everyone feels welcome, valued and heard. We celebrate diversity and actively remove barriers so that all pupils and adults can thrive as part of a truly inclusive community.

Principles & Rules

Staff and pupil well-being is at the heart of everything we do and is promoted through three core principles that staff must demonstrate within their day-to-day practice and through every interaction they have in school, and three simple rules for pupils:

Mission Statement

We see every member of our school community as a ‘unique learner’ capable of ‘limitless learning’, through the acceptance and celebration of diversity, pupils’ rights and the belief that all children and young people can learn, achieve and fully participate in school and wider community life, whatever their circumstances.

We are committed to a ‘strengths not deficit’ based approach to understanding and exploring learning ‘differences’ rather than learning ‘difficulties’, and in doing so we place the unique talents and abilities of every pupil at the heart of what we do, celebrating progress and success in all its forms.
