EXTREME TEMPERATURES - UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the ongoing extreme heat and the challenges we are experiencing in keeping many of our classrooms at safe and comfortable temperatures, we will continue with the same partial school closure arrangements tomorrow (Friday 26th June) as we have in place today. With even higher temperatures forecast tomorrow, this decision has been made to ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of all pupils.

The following classes will be closed on Friday 26th June:

Newton West Site:

Pullman
Zephaniah

Newton East Site:

Dickens
Rosen
Milne
Wilson
Carroll
Donaldson
Potter
Lewis

We sincerely apologise for the continued inconvenience; however, these decisions are being made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils and staff.

We are pleased to say that school will resume as normal on Monday, following a weekend of cooler temperatures.

We sincerely apologise for the disruption and inconvenience caused to our pupils and families. Please be assured that, in response to this situation, we are actively exploring longer-term solutions to help minimise the likelihood of any similar closures in the future.

If you need any support with learning at home, your child’s teacher will be available to contact via ClassDojo during school hours.
